I-Independent
Students should write in such a way that their writing is unique. This keeps the reader from getting bored and also helps students to think of details
P-Parragraphs
Writing in parragraphs is essential to writing a good essay. A good 5 parragraph essay uses an introductory parragraph, at least 3 supporting parragraphs, and a concluding parragraph.
S-sentences
There are many way to help with sentence writing. Here is one. I call it Story Star. It just helps students to think of who, what when where and why. It is in Spanish, but you get the idea. They can use it when reading to analyze what is happening or for getting several ideas together to write with.
