It takes palace in every part of the ADDIE model.
Can issues be fixed by training alone?
Can it be solved by a training intervention?

Formative is feedback comments and collaboration; progress check there should be a lot of formative; check-ups

Summative is more final and cumulative; the final test for mastery; of this type there is only one; he autopsy

ABDC
Audience-user-student
Be specfic
The students will…….
Give a picture of the students base in reality
Behavior
What you want the audience to do
Use will should must be careful about what you choose See chapter 9 of the text for the class
DO NOT SAY-learn or understand-how will you measure these!!!!
Verbs such as create, list, construct, and repair----these are measureable
Wordle Tagzeeto
Go to 9.1 of text

Condition statements
Task
May seem to obvious or overly complicated
Subtle differences
May include tangible things
Degree
The finish line of mastery
How high you jump indicates mastery
Evaluation
Not ambiguous
Safely, carefully, honestly
Nearpod has other features
It does videos too!!
Terminal and Enabling Objectives
Terminal is an exit competency
Ride a bike for 100m without assistance
Enabling objective
Smaller steps to sequence form simple to complex
Making the sandwich
Adjust handlebars in two attempts on the bike.
DO’s for writing objectives using ABCD
Audience behavior condition Degree
Frame objectives from for the perspective of the end USER
If part of design plan there should be a written objective
DON’T
write them for multiple learners, only one…the student will…..
did students meet the objective individually?????
EVALUATE IF EACH STUDENT WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVE
Don’ts
Think of all leaners as the same
Write too many or two few objectives
Does it stand on it’s own?
Objective are not goals, they are detailed statements for outcomes, what they should be able to do at this time.
Do not make promises of things you have no control over.
Measurable and observable

• The information that you gather from your analyses should be the foundation of your instructional design. After you have completed the analysis phase of your project, you will craft an Instructional Design Document, which is the blueprint for your instructional product. In this document, you should outline:

◦ The goals and objectives of the instruction - objectives for your overall unit and each lesson in your unit
◦ Prerequisites and learner characteristics
◦ Testing and evaluation strategies to be used in the instruction, as appropriate
◦ Feedback mechanisms that will support testing and evaluation
◦ Practice activities to be used in the instruction, including feedback strategies
◦ Examples and non-examples of the procedure or concept (as appropriate)
◦ Introductory presentation of instruction
◦ Motivational strategies to be used in instruction
◦ Basic plans for instructor materials
Finish curriculum map (scope and sequence)
Measureable and action words pretest to help with prerequisites
Use a pre assessment
Get to know the students through surveys:
What is your understanding or temperatures?
What temps are comfortable?
What temps are uncomfortable
For outside
For inside?
Distances
Too far to walk
Too far to drive
OK to walk
OK to drive
Are there prerequisites for the instructor:
Can I do:
A
B
C
D
Be able to use in class and demonstrate to others
Testing and evaluation strategies
Formal test
Performance assessment

Observation
Essay
Unit test?
Quiz? Project or website? Create a weebly that shows what they have learned or know?
Labs?
Interviews?
Likes and dislikes of the class or about Spanish?
How will I kow that the learners have met the objectives???
Feedback methods for testing and evaluation??
Oral feedback/written feedback-with what frequency?
Maps diagrams book online test ppt packet with several parts journal rubric
Planning instructional strategies
DESIGN IS SCOPE AND SEQUENCE
What need to be accomplished in the time that we have
Selecting the course format is how is it taught? In class/reading/pamphlet
Map out scope and sequence
Select course format
Methods and tactics
Examples and non-examples
Motivational strategies
Blooms Taxonomy---see web sites
Feedback strategies for activities
What will our plan look like?
The Lesson plan
Handouts/manipulatives
Tech tools
Packets
Globe to show Ecuador
And average temps in countries
This is the blueprint for our lessons
5 to 6 lessons to get it all done
What will I be teaching in my lesson plans.
Writing learning objectives
Formal vs informal

Download and use nearpod
The pace is controlled and you can upload slides and add video slides, poll questions and all kinds of other things. 3 active at a time. Limit of 30 people at a time
Go to 9.1 of text
www.wordle.net
Condition statements
Task
May seem to obvious or overly complicated
Subtle differences
May include tangible things
Degree
The finish line of mastery
How high you jump indicates mastery
Evaluation
Not ambiguous
Safely, carefully, honestly
Nearpod has other features
It does videos too!!
Terminal and Enabling Objectives
Terminal is an exit competency
Ride a bike for 100m without assistance
Enabling objective
Smaller steps to sequence form simple to complex
Making the sandwich
Adjust handlebars in two attempts on the bike.
DO’s for writing objectives using ABCD
Audience behavior condition Degree
Frame objectives from for the perspective of the end USER
If part of design plan there should be a written objective
DON’T
write them for multiple learners, only one…the student will…..
did students meet the objective individually?????
EVALUATE IF EACH STUDENT WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVE
Don’ts
Think of all leaners as the same
Write too many or two few objectives
Does it stand on it’s own?
Objective are not goals, they are detailed statements for outcomes, what they should be able to do at this time.
Do not make promises of things you have no control over.

Jan 15
We learned about how to set up weekly accounts and talked about the elements of the design. We cover metacognition and portfolios. it seems that things are similar to the old geocities format, os the templates sans adding of documents is somewhat familiar to me. THAT"S GOOD!!!
General notes:
What why and how we do things
Metacognition-thinking about our thinking
Walking around with computers in our pockets
portfolios and Da Vinci
a collection of our works
Where should we keep them? --online and hard hdd copies copies, lest GEOCITIES GOES DOWN!
the 3 tense of planning
future
presnt
past
What artifacts will we use and why? WE MUST EXPLAIN
We must take time to reflect.
We should write a reflection at the end of every day!
use the web to build a positive identity
I know nothing about digital storytelling!! I fell like total NOOB in that realm!!!
we need tot now who does not want to have there works of faces published online!!
We should have a concise mission statement or intro to the page telling what we are talking about and why. What are our future hope sand desires.
